The commercial tide may be turning in Pass Christian, where few businesses have reopened since Hurricane Katrina.

At the harbor, a restaurant and bar with attached marine-supply store and live bait shop is being built. the opening is expected in July.

Shaggy’s Harbor Bar and Grill will dominate the $750,000 building. The project is headed by chef Thomas Genin of Tigres restaurant and Ron Ladner, who is also a partner in the Portage mixed-use development planned for Henderson Avenue…
